Тhis Dominican Republic Rum is distilled from freshly pressed sugar cane juice in column stills at the Alcoholes Finos Dominicanos distillery and then matured for 5 years in bourbon barrels. The company 1731 Fine & Rare originates from the Netherlands. The name of the independent bottler is based on the year in which the British Royal Navy began offering its sailors half a pint of rum as part of their wages.
